What makes a great pub?
For us, it starts with getting the fundamentals right – and doing them consistently well.
That thinking sits at the heart of The Harvest Way, the philosophy that guides how we operate our pubs, work together and create experiences for our people, patrons and investors.
Our objective is to be Australia’s leading hospitality asset manager. How we get there is by elevating the everyday.
The Harvest Way brings that to life through four pillars: People First, Get It Done, Own It and Have Fun.
People First
Great pubs need great people.
Our people, patrons and investors are our first priority. For our teams, that means creating an environment where everyone is welcome and people feel supported to do their best work.
For our patrons, it comes back to the experience.
Walk into one of our pubs and you should be greeted with a warm smile. You should feel comfortable and looked after. You should be able to enjoy a great meal and a cold drink.
They’re simple things. Doing them consistently well is what matters.
Get It Done
We’re results-driven and aim to exceed expectations.
Running a pub involves hundreds of details every day. The Harvest Way is about focusing on what matters, following through and seeing things through from start to finish.
That discipline is a big part of what turns good intentions into a well-run pub.
Own It
Everyone has a role to play.
We do our bit, hold each other accountable and take responsibility for what’s in front of us. Put simply: when we see it, we do it, we fix it.
That ownership extends from the small details on the pub floor to the bigger decisions we make across the business.
Have Fun
Pubs are social places, and hospitality should have energy.
We celebrate the wins, enjoy what we do and want that energy to be felt by the people who walk through our doors.
Because while there is plenty of discipline behind running a great pub, the experience itself should feel anything but corporate.
The fundamentals, done well
The individual elements of The Harvest Way aren’t complicated. That’s deliberate.
It’s about doing the basics exceptionally well, repeatedly and at scale – while never losing sight of the people at the centre of the business.
